this afternoon, i went to the diner for lunch - grilled cheese and sweet potato fries. one person, four - count 'em - four plates. a side of bbq sauce does not need its own plate. ridonks.

this week, i morphed up the 'muffin of the week' to a cranberry-orange loaf cake. insanely easy thanks to my sister's kitchenaid mixer. jealous - wish i had the space for one.

is this really necessary? an electric martini-shaker. maybe, maybe i can see gifting it to someone with carpal tunnel syndrome, but that's a stretch. who approved this?

my new obsession

is poladroid - a program that takes any picture and converts it into an old-school polaroid, complete with the white border, darkened edges, and blurred, sepia tones. the camera also ejects the picture and you can not only watch it develop, but shake it to develop faster.

this is one of my favorite days of the year in new york...marathon sunday! i recently "started" (attempted more like it) running and i am inspired - don't think i could ever do 26.2!
