snowmageddon?

well, it looks like central park got 10" yesterday...not quite "snowmageddon" in nyc. by the morning, the sidewalks and streets were fairly clear and all that was left was a blinding reflection off rooftops...

snow day!

looks like a snow globe outside my window! that did not, however, stop me from venturing out to starbucks this morning. a girl still needs her vanilla skim latte.

snow day?!

triple low pressure systems do not bode well, people!

who invited you? who who who who?

i'm still not sure why the who played the super bowl. (well, understand why in terms of wardrobe malfunction ramifications and all, but in terms of relevancy - not so much). at least someone is trying to capitalize on their appearance with some wild postings.

also...

what was up with roger daltry's weave and pete townsend's unbuttoned-shirt-gut?

before & after

while the yavaughnie billboard is long gone, a new one popped up yesterday nearby:

i now have a scantily clad woman staring at my cubicle. i get it, swimsuit issue, blah blah. thankfully, i have my back to the windows.

toot toot!

happy superbowl sunday, everyone!

this month's mantra

in a pickle

this cracked me up...a facebook friend recently joined this group:

"Can this pickle get more fans than Nickleback [sic]?" - i despise nickelback, so i certainly hope so!

d'oh

this always cracks me up - when peeps get busted for driving in the HOV with a mannequin. check out the get-up on this one, recently pulled over by the cops on long island. i think the scarf is a nice touch.

who knew?

who knew that the humble ketchup packet has been redesigned? now optimized for both the dip and the squeeze.

awesomely bad

i am not one for politics. but am for bizarroness. and that is the only way to describe this political attack add from california.

it's a little long, but it really is worth sticking around for the crazy-swayze-eyed sheep demon at 2:26 and its walkabout at 2:54. really, i promise.

mistaken identity

poor rip torn, arrested for allegedly inadvertently breaking into a bank, blindingly drunk, with a loaded pistol.

he claimed he thought that he was in his own house. i couldn't fathom how you could mistake your house for a bank, but thankfully tmz shed some light:

is this for reals?

"even if you can't be with them, you can still feel their loving embrace." via stuffed arms.

(thanks, SC!)

is this for reals? (part deux)

a padded bra...for your butt? apparently "for a small price, you can have the booty of your dreams..."

(thanks, murphdawg20!)

they're baaack

the body shop is re-introducing some of it's original products from the 80s. for some reason, i thought that it'd be a good idea to pair the ice blue mint shampoo with the banana conditioner. nevertheless, can't wait to pick up some old faves.

my new obsession

...are tegan & sara. i know i'm probably late to the party on this one, but i can't stop playing "back in your head" on the ol' iPod.

new & improved (?)

today we got a "new" microwave in our office kitchen...did i wake up in 1983??

impostor!

cuddler, i served with snuggie. i knew snuggie. snuggie was a friend of mine. you, sir, are no snuggie!

(also, why has it taken us this long to get a snuggie tag going??)

who knew?

...that--25 years after its release--hall & oates were nominated for "sara smile." i always wished that had an "h," but at least i get us use our hall & oates tag again.

actually, i think this may have been a recent whatevs facebook status, so i'm guessing she knew.

ps - check out more awesome drawings from the etchasketchist on flickr.

oh, pearl jam

i still heart you, but a target ad?

what happened to your antidisestablishmentarianism of yore? (ok, that is the wrong word for it...but, you know the whole anti-corporate-ticketmaster-fighting of yore?)

dirty?

apparently "the beaver magazine" had to change it's name to "canada's history...formerly the beaver." turns out, beaver is dirty or something and is subsequently being confused with porn.

dirty? (part deux)

eeewwwwwww! um...no, thanks. not interested in viewing these. i'll take your word for it.
