oh yes, that's beat-a-chicken-at-tic-tac-toe. this is a fine example of when-good-brainstorms-go-oh-so-bad. here's my guess of what happened during the meeting:

marketing guru #1: so, what if we set up a version of tic-tac-toe?

marketing guru #2: and patrons play against each other?

marketing guru #3: hmmm...i like where you are going with this, but how can we make it more exciting?

marketing guru #1: what if we get an animal?

intern: like a bear?

marketing guru #3: no, a bear is too dangerous - we'll never be able to cover the liability.

marketing guru #2: what about a chicken?

incidentally, this poultry promotion is running next month at "the beautiful mount airy casino resort, nee lodge"
